A Bibliography of Whisky Books in English
Site Search
Whisky and Drink Related Web Sites.

Alcohol & Drugs History Society. Daily updated website with news, publications, or resources of relevant interest. Aimed at an academic audience, but much to interest the layman as well. To go to the website click here. Individual pages of interest to whisky people include, whiskey, Scotland and moonshine.

LiquidLiterature. My other website selling new, out-of-print and second-hand books on all alcoholic beverages other than whisky.

National Brewing Library. The collection is housed at the Oxford Brookes University and consists of about 4,500 volumes relating to brewing, distilling, beer, whisky and other alcoholic beverages and dependent trades.

Whisky Whisky Whisky Forum. Probably the best English language whisky forum on the web. Over 2000 members and a good ranged of varied topics including some non-whisky ones.

Ulf Buxrud. There is only one way to describe this man, he is a Swedish Malt Maniac. He has compiled one of the best listings of whisky literature on the web, and also probably the most extensive listing of whisky links.

Book & Miscellaneous Web Sites.

Book Depository.
They have millions of new books at very good discounts and free delivery to UK and many overseas destinations. Unfortunately they sold their soul to the Devil [aka Amazon]. Still worth a look especially for overseas buyers. I am an affiliate of this company and therefore will receive a commission if you order any books. Please click above to visit their site, or follow a link from this site to ensure that I receive any commission.

eBid. This is an UK based auction site, though they do have sites in other countries. Obviously not as big or busy as eBay but it is much cheaper to use. Though if eBay carryon upsetting it’s sellers as they are at the moment it may well soon be much bigger. You can list for free and if you use the most basic listing type all you pay is 3% of the selling price if your item sells. If it doesn’t you can relist again as many times as you like. If you pay a one off lifetime fee of £49.99 the final value fee is reduced to 2% and if you use the most basic type of listing then final value fees are 0%. Five photos are free, but extra ones only cost 3p. A subtitle is 8p, eBay charge £1.00. Other listing upgrades are available at very reasonable rates. Like eBay it has a vibrant forum were you can obtain answers to problems. Also you can e-mail support and though I haven’t needed to yet I believe you get an answer from a human being. However it should be noted they do not offer 5upport via telephone or online chat. Worth a look if eBay are driving you mad. If you click on the link above you will be taken to a registration page. To look around the site click on the eBid logo in the top left hand corner of this page.

PlanetHippo is the web hosting service I use. Good value and as reliable as most. Web hosting starts at £1.20 per month with a premium hosting package at £6.70 per month. Other services include Domain Registration, E-Mail Hosting, Cloud VPS, SSL Certificates, Online Security and Reseller Hosting. Support has been quick and good when I have needed to use it. Well worth considering if you require any of their services. Prices quoted are correct as of April 2017 and include VAT at 20%.
